At over 700 meters elevation, Hakushu’s terroir features cool, humid air, crisp mountain breezes, and rich four-season contrast. The high-altitude, forest-shaded climate slows maturation, preserving bright herbal notes and gentle smoke.
💧 Mountain Water: Prism of Purity
Hakushu draws from snowmelt and rainwater filtering through Mt. Kaikomagatake into the Ojira and Jingu Rivers . This soft, crystal-clear water is the backbone of its Japanese whisky, imparting clarity and minerality in every whisked drop.
